This may be a good brush for someone younger, but not for senior citizens that have bridge work. I find that when I use it in the area of bridge work I get a sensativity for a couple of days. It works fine on the front and back of the upper and lower front teeth.

When I changed the toothbrush head I discovered the cavity where the top connects to the battery had turned black with mold. I cleaned and sterilized the area with bleach but found the same thing happened when I checked it some time later. Water mixed with saliva and tooth paste is leaking into there and turning moldy.
Pros: stays charged a long time
Cons: slimy and moldy

Hello,
We’re sorry for the bitter experience you had using Philips Sonicare EasyClean Rechargeable sonic toothbrush.
Kindly follow the below given cleaning recommendations for various Sonicare toothbrushes and brush heads.
For DiamondClean, FlexCare Platinum, FlexCare+, FlexCare, Healthy White, PowerUp and Sonicare for Kids products, clean the toothbrush handle as follows:
1. Remove the brush head and rinse the metal shaft area with warm water. 2. Do not push on the rubber seal on the metal shaft with sharp objects, as this may cause damage. 3. Use a damp cloth to wipe the entire surface of the handle. 4. Allow to air-dry.
Note: If you have a DiamondClean toothbrush, you may notice that toothpaste residue and water spots are easy to see when they build up on the shiny portion at bottom of the handle. To remove this residue in a way that does not damage important product information on the bottom of the handle, follow these instructions:
1. Dampen a soft cloth with lukewarm water and gently wipe residue from the bottom of the handle. 2. Do not rub with abrasive cleaners or cleaning aids such as abrasive pads or brushes. Do not use your fingernails or any other tools. Use of these products may remove important product information from the handle. 3. Allow handle to air-dry.
To clean brush heads, follow these instructions:
1. Rinse the brush head and bristles after each use. 2. Remove the brush head from the handle and rinse the brush head connection at least once a week with warm water and allow to air-dry. Note: Never clean the brush heads or the handles in the dishwasher.
For E-Series Elite, Essence, CleanCare and Xtreme products: 1. Rinse the brush head and bristles after each use. Let the brush head air-dry. 2. Clean the brush head at least once a week, including under the plastic nut. 3. Gently press on the rubber seal to remove the nut. 4. Do not use sharp objects to press on the seal, as this may cause damage. 5. To re-attach the nut, slip the nut over the brush head shaft and pull it down until it snaps home. 6. Clean the handle periodically with mild soap and a moist cloth and allow to air-dry.
Hope this helps.

I've had this for about a year or year and a half. I was told it could go in the dishwasher which was not correct. Fortunately I read the paperwork before attempting to wash it in the dishwasher. The head has a hard time staying on and the crud builds up quickly. The handle has a soft material on it and it's all peeling off. Fortunately with minor adjustments each use I am able to use it and it does work well.
My dental hygienist recommended this product to help me with the hygiene need for all the dental work and expense I have spent to restore my teeth and I think it's a very wonderful product to use. I always have used a manual toothbrush and the sonicare takes the work out of brushing and leaves me with a feeling of a better cleaned and refreshed feeling. I would recommend this product to others. I'm more than pleased with it.

the toothbrush has to be charged every couple of days and this has been true since i first bought it. i have another one that lasts at least a couple of weeks. it does a great job outside of having to be constantly charged.
Paid $90 for this toothbrush at the dentist office. Lasted only 1 year,. Was told the warrenty was 5 years, according to the inside instructions it is only 1 year. A waste of money, I could have bought a $5 spinbrush which lasted longer jan my Phillips.
