Epson Expression Home XP-420 All-in-one

I replaced an Epson XP-420 that finally gave up the ghost after several years of use (no longer could print clearly). I use the new printer to copy, print from two computers (one connected and one wireless), scan flat pages and old photos as jpgs and pdf's. The one big negative is ink (220)use. It goes thru the B and 3 colors fairly quickly. Buying high capacity is no bargain. Epson claims twice the usage, but it is just over twice the price! Otherwise I am satisfied with it's quality and relative ease of use (once you understand the software's many attributes).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Didn't Work

I bought a printer a while ago and put it in storage for a while. I got it out the other day to use and found it doesn't work. Printing in black and white was hardly visible. It was brand new but I replaced the black ink cartridge anyway. It still was not visible. I printed the test page. Everything was good but the black. Because I purchased it a while ago, I cannot return it. I'm stuck with a new printer that does not work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy set up prints great so far! Was a great price and hope to use less ink than old printer, connected all automatic and no problems like other printers. Recommend this product to anyone needing a new computer.

The EPSON brand name is why I purchased the Expression Home printer. The set up was easy and fast. The printer is wireless and with a few press button clicks I was done. The ink went in quickly and easily. I am very satisfied with the printer I purchased and with the EPSON brand name for quality products. Thank you EPSON.
