I love my Epson and theres only one thing that I would change is the price on the ink but that's with all the ink. ..

worth the money

I needed a printer for my windows 7 and for my xp. the cost of the ink is one of the reasons that I bought it. This is my fourth Epson Printer. I am satisfied with the performance of this printer.

Very easy to set up. Does a very nice job for the price. Its easy to change ink cartridges and operate. That's important when you are not a very savvy tech guy.

I don't know why I have fought this printer for so long. Epson should pull these junkers off the market. It only encourages me to buy a differant brand. This thing sometimes prints, sometimes doesn't, never scans and does a very poor job when it does work. I purchased this printer because we lived in an rv for a while after our house burned in a wild fire. I needed something small that would work off WiFi to file our insurance claims. I fought the printer through that entire project and I am still fighting it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very finicky about the ink

Scanning works fine, copying works fine.
However, if any of the color cartridges are very low on ink, it won't print at all, even if you select black and white. Recently, I replaced the blue cartridge, all others were at acceptable level, and now everything prints blue. So I checked ink levels. Magenta is low, but still shows some ink left (if it's letting me print, there must be some in there), but apparently that is the problem. So now I am replacing Magenta before it'seven empty.
It doesn't consistently warn you that ink is low, so if you don't have any on hand, and need to print something, you're out of luck until you replace.
Also, sometimes it only prints half a page.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nothing about it is up to Epson standards of yore. Poorest printer I have owned.
