It's OK

I almost returned this printer until I read in the fine print that I needed to connect this to my 5 ghz network. It would not work on the default from my Airport Extreme.
The printer will also randomly disconnect from my laptop forcing either a restart of the printer, the laptop or reinstallation of the printer software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

XP-420 Home Printer

For a very reasonable price, this little printer has it all but a fax. AND, IT'S WIRELESS! It prints, it copies, it scans--all wirelessly. Yeah, it's got those goofy little cartridges but there are so many places to get reduced-price replacements.
I will admit that the color alignment is off. I've tried cleaning the heads, realigning the heads but that new magenta cartridge just isn't cooperating. I will try removing it and reseating; hopefully that will work. It's only about 18x15x5, nice small footprint.
I recommennd it!

It would not work

No matter what I did, or how many times I followed the instructions, this printer would not hook up to my computer via WiFi. When I did the connection manually, it took at least 5 minutes to print one page.
I finally gave up. Unfortunately, more than 2 weeks had passed, and I could not return it. It is now a glorified paper weight.

Hard to get used to

I found the control panel on the XP-420 hard to get used to using. Using the arrows to find what you want is confusing. The paper feeder tray is a bit noisy when loading a piece to print on. Otherwise, it prints nicely, a clear and good color print. It copies and scans well, too. Good for use in the home without high demand. I'm still learning about it.

I bought this printer to print my photos at home. I am very impress with the quality of my photos. This is, without any doubts the best printer i had for photos. Keep up the great quality of your products.

This printer turns out top notch prints, however, if you print a lot, be prepared to spend a small fortune on replacement cartridges.
