I do not recommend this product. It's finicky. It uses too much ink. Do not buy this product

It has not worked in months. Set up on is a real headache. I am not happy with it at all.

The reason I have rated this a 1 is because of a number of things.
1. It tends to go through ink quickly and the cartridges are expensive.
2. I can only get the 220 and not the 220XL cartridges.
3. The machines tends to jam if there are 3 or less sheets of paper in the feed.

There are more reasons I am disappointed but at this time I can't remember them.
I would bring it back if I could but I have gotten rid of the box.

I purchased the Epson Expression XP-420. It worked until I had to replace the cartridges. It kept telling me that it was not recognizing the cartridges, but if I put the almost empty ones back it told me that they needed replacing. I contacted Epson and although I purchased the new cartridges when I bought the printer, they thought they might be defective. They did send me replacement cartridges; but those had the same problem. They told me to get in contact the company where I took an extended warranty. Your service dept. thought that the printer had lost it's ability to read the chip in the cartridge. This was after owning it only 3 months. The warranty company gave me a full refund of my purchase price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good printer

I am Okay with this printer, as I generally like Epson printers,,,besides the fact you can replace one color cartridge at a time, instead of having to replace a 3 color, just because one is empty, and there is still 3/4 of the other two colors. I'm not so pleased with the fact the cartridges don't last as well as those in the past, EVEN when buying the 'xtra large' ones!
Otherwise, so far the printer is a excellent printer,,,just plan on buying more than usual in cartridges!

Quality portable printer

This Epson is a nice, little printer. Quality of printing is remarkable, considering this is a portable printer. We took it to Florida for three months, and used it to do historical society member renewal work. My wife and I volunteer with our local historical society, which has nearly 1,300 members.
I would recommend this to a friend!
