Printer does not capture and print all of the page content.

When I first bought this printer, I was very satisfied with it's performance, but now I am without a printer, and don't know what to do.
I can not get it to print anything. I have replaced all ink cartridges with the proper Epson ink, and I slowly lost all ways to copy. It started with fading and now will do nothing, even after putting it through the cleaning process. I don't have a receipt, and therefore I can not return this product to the store. This printer is less than a year old.

Modern Tecnology issues

This printer does a great job, but I can't afford the Ink. Apperently the micro-controller that tells you when you are out of ink seem to kick in after you have printed only 10 to 12 copies.
I would not recommend this printer unless you are a multi-millionaire!

We purchased this printer, etc. to replace a broken printer, other brand. We should have stayed with that brand. The wireless feature always needs to be re-programed. And every time we re-program the wireless password, it prints a page and wastes paper. We try to stop it, but it prints anyway. The toner doesn't seem to last as long either. Not a fan. Will look elsewhere soon.

Ink doesn't last

I made a handful of copies before I got a warning that my black ink was low. The printer will NOT work with low ink. I removed the cartridge and it was more than half full! I think whatever determines your ink is low doesn't work. I'd rather have faint copies than not be able to use my printer at all! BAD design, would not recommend a product that is so wasteful in that you need to replace a cartridge while it's half full.

Epson XP-420

I initially bought this because it was inexpensive. Boy was that a mistake! Just because the price wasn't outrageous, it is expensive to keep it running. The cartridges, especially black, which I use constantly is continually running out. I blow through a black cartridge every 3 days - that's if I am lucky.
After I installed this printer, I had problems. So I called the help desk and was told that there was a newer version of the install download and I would have to find it and download it.
Since I am not a very technical person, but can read, I asked the person to stay on line with me so he could guide me through the process. He did and things went well. First and only positive I have found.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!

Disappointed

I purchased this product to replace a two year old Epson that was not printing correctly. This printer developed the same problem within a month, and I cannot get it to print properly for more than a few days before it goes haywire again. This will probably be my last go-around with Epson.

If you are even halfway serious about printing reasonable quality images, stay away from this one. Photos are printing as if with a light haze over the entire surface - no sharp definition here. Particularly disappointing in light of other Epson printers I have owned. Will try to get my $ back.
