Well worth the money!!

I have had an Otterbox on my last few phones, my wife's phone and my kids electronics. The peace of mind I get with the Otterbox is well worth the money spent. My kids and I have all dropped our devices and none have been damaged. When I had a minor issue with one Otterbox, and when I damaged the belt clip on another, they stood behind their product 100% and replaced them at no cost. When I upgraded my phone recently I passed on my Otterbox from my old phone to my dad who had a cheap case on his phone. I would HIGHLY recommend an Otterbox to everyone, you will not be disappointed with the quality and with dealing with a company who stands behind what they sell.
Pros: High quality, Durable, warranty, worth the money

Love it, but........

Ever since my iPhone 3 (and about 6 other phones since) I have loved Otterbox. I don't carry my phone in my pocket. I don't like to. I carry it on my belt and the otterbox has a nice belt clip too. The cases are wonderful and can handle a LOT. I put mine through heck and the cases endure. I occasionally have to take them off and clean the cases (and even the phone a little) but the phone inside still endures.
So if I love the Otterbox so much, why only a "3 Star" review? Well the case is outstanding. The belt clip? Not so much. I have probably had about 6 different phones with otterboxes, but I have probably purchased about 12 cases. Not because of the case, but because of the belt clip. Maybe it's just me, but I don't just use my phone and put it back on the belt clip. Sometimes (and this is how I get into trouble), I use it as a GPS in my car (ok, truck), or I might have it on the charger in the truck. Anyway, when I get out, it's not always convenient to "Clip" it back in the holster while sitting in the truck. So as I turn to get out, the empty holster on my belt brushes against the seat and "Snags" and breaks off one of the corner "Hooks". I have replaced it twice under warranty (I have also bought it 3 times.) At $50.00 a piece, it's getting expensive.
I Have tried to epoxy the piece back on, but it doesn't work out so well because the lower "Nubs" are larger then the upper ones, so it doesn't sit flat/level easily enough to allow the epoxy to set.
If Otterbox could either make the holsters "Metal" or reinforce these week corners of the holsters with metal (or similar) then I could easily give it a 5 star rating.

color is wrong

The case is good and seems sturdy as well as the screen protector doesn't interfere with the touch screen. The problem is the color. The picture reflects a nice dark blue. The actual color is a weird baby blue. My husband decided to keep it because the case is nice but don't buy the blue if you want what is pictured. To only have three colors and one be so unappealing is pretty ridiculous.

phone moves around in case, not secure. cut-outs on front and back do not line up. you can line up one side then the other side is not where its suppose to be, please redesign so phone stays in place and is lined up for the price I paid
Cons: Low quality, bad engineering

As a Firefighter I beat my phones to death and have had cheap cases on them over the years, after buying ottorbox products over the past few years ill never buy anything else these cases take the abuse of getting dropped , smashed, tumbling around etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Case don't fit phone

It does not fit the phone that i need it for. I want to return this product. But there are no instructions on how to. The other products that I ordered are great, they fit good.

Didn't protect my phone

I got this case to go with my new phone in February. The case is a little bulky but it was nice to have some peace of mind that my phone would be protected against falls. Now just a few months later I have dropped my phone from a height of about 2 feet and the screen shattered right through the case. The damage isn't just cosmetic; the electronics are all messed up and the phone basically is not functional. Not sure what the point of the case is if it can't protect my screen from cracking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does the job as minimally needed

I'm one who drops their phone at least a few times a day. I always look for a case on a new phone that is as damage-proof as possible. This case does the job so long as I ensure I don't drop my phone from either too high a height (10ft or more), or on the wrong angle (like a direct corner hit). I'm sure if I exceed the 'metrics' of either of these than I'll end up with a cracked/broken screen. It appears OtterBox fails to realize the weakest point of any rectangular prism is the corners, and as a result leaves them no more protected than the backing or sides. Large, energy dissipating, rubber corners should be on the most 'defensive' models of the cases. My last phone had a case from a competitor (who unfortunately didn't have stock for a case of my current phone) and any time someone would complain of physical phone damage I would simply throw my phone across the room/store/parking lot/etc. and state 'Mine doesn't'. I wish I could make that statement for my OtterBox.
