I owned a 530 until my son hit the panel with a bat. Decided to upgrade. The 120hz compared to the 60hz model is like night and day. The pic on the 630 is so clear, it seems the people are in the room with me. I thought my 530 was an incredible pic till I bought this one. If you are considering a lesser model, don't. Spend the extra money, it's more than worth it!

Great picture, but...

I bought this TV as a Christmas present to myself based on reviews, as well as its top ratings from Consumer Reports and Cnet. It has great picture quality with tons of adjustability, lots of inputs, and the ability to connect to my home network. The biggest problem I have is with the Auto Motion Plus feature. It works great for some programs, and absolutely terrible with others. I find that I have to change this setting quite a bit in order to not have a stuttering picture. It all has to do with the fps (frames per second) of the program being watched. Unfortunately, they are all different, and you get vastly different results with AMP because of this. I certainly hope Samsung figures out a way to fix this problem, as I've seen a lot of complaints about this from several other reviews. Overall though, a good quality TV with great picture.

Cons: auto motion plus far from perfect

Great TV until the picture started flickering... 2 months after the 1 year warranty expired. Looking online there are a ton of people with the same flickering problem with their Samsung. I considered Samsung products to be "top of the line" with great performance and few problems. Now I'm not so sure...

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

Great, until it started flickering

I loved this TV for the first 14 months that I owned it. Then it began flickering, and I discovered that it would cost more to fix that than the TV is worth. I would not recommend this television to anyone, let alone a friend. That's the end of my love affair with Samsung.

Issue with inverter at 1 year and two months, Samsung customer support is excellent, TV is not.

Loved this tv for about the 1st year then the picture started flickering after being on for about an hr. As time went by it got worse until the picture would go completely black. Finally, the picture was completely black as soon as I turned on the tv. Found out the power source bad and had to be replaced. Luckily, I purchased the extended warranty and got my tv fixed. But it was a spoiler having a major breakdown and repair the 1st yr. Would not purchase another Samsung tv or electronic.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

I bought my tv in late may of 2010 and it worked just fine. Until this year 2012 and it starting flickering non stop. It occasionally goes in and out now and I have to purchase a new tv. Do not buy this item it will break down sooner than later.

I purchased the television through the internet from a major store. It came by Fed-Ex in excellent condition. The installation instructions were easy to understand and I had it running in no time. With the HD package from the satellite service provider activated I got an excellent picture and with the easy to use remote I customized all of the features.
I would recommend this to a friend!
