not liking this device right now because it is disconnected again and we are in Canada and unable to reconnect AGAIN. It took two hours to connect the first time and now we are not there to connect it again so we are on our own without control of our thermostat!!!!!!
I have the thermostat up and working with WiFi access. However, I notice two factors of operation that dissatisfy me. 1) The control point versus set point hysteresis is too small. This causes the furnace in heat mode to cycle much more often than is practical. For example with the set point at 70F, it is not unusual for the furnace to turn on three to fourtimes in one hour. When I had my older smart thermostat on the system, the furnace would turn on once or at most twice per hour.
2) I have the "Smart Response Technology" function turned on. I have the heat turn up from 62F to 70F at 7:00AM. However, the preheat is occurring at 5:30 AM or earlier. On the first heat it takes about 15 minutes to reach the target 70F. A preheat recovery time of 1.5 hours is far in excess of the target time of 7:00 AM.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What is the replacement recommendation since this product is discontinued. I need to replace a defective unit, which is one of multiple thermostats.
