Works.. then disconnects.. then fails

I think we have had it for about 3 years or more now. It does work for basic remote connection to your thermostat. It could have had more features easily (like tracking the duty cycle of the furnace / AC) but that's OK. I noticed that when WIFI went down it would not re-connect easily (had to be pulled off the wall and put back). Kind of annoying, but I can live with that. One day it decided it was not going to connect ever again. After watching videos.. hard resetting it (ie: battery out and pressing the 'secret' buttons) I can get it to the point where it says 'Your almost done'. It actually (eventually) accepts commands from wifi (FAN ON for instance), but complains that the thermostat is not responding and flashes for me to register it. I tried registering it as a new device.. no go.
Long story short.. I have pumped way too much time into something as simple as a thermostat now.
Love it. Much better than either of my Nest thermo

Easy to use. Much better than either of my previous Nest thermostats. Would definitely recommend. Just wish I had bought the newer version of this one.
I love this thermostat. Wish I installed it sooner. I've it for over a year and never got around to it. But Now, it's great! The app is great and it's pairs with my Xfinity app too. Thank you.
Hooking up the thermostat and operating it from within the house was very easy. Since I am 72 years old, connecting to the wifi was more challenging. Because of Covid19 our grandsons were unavailable. I was successful on my second attempt. Go slow and follow every step. Works perfectly we love it. Great to be able to check on furnace operation while on a recent trip.
