complicated and unreliable

I've had this for about 4 months. It took about a month before I could get it connected to the internet because every time I followed the instructions the links took me to pages that didn't work. About every other time I use the app I have to relogin. And I changed my router and now I cant connect again. When you hit reconnect it goes to another page that doesnt work. It's just plain ridiculous. I will be looking for a more user friendly thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reset Wifi

I see a few reviews that had the same problem I had, "switched routers and lost internet". I thrashed frustrated for awhile in the manual and user guide to no avail. Then I Googled this video and the clouds parted, a ray of sun touched me and now all is well in the world once again!
Follow these instructions and you SHOULD at least get back to the original "set up wifi" screen. Take a deep breath...

Not a great thermostat for those non-tech people

We have this thermostat which came with our home when we purchased it. It is really difficult to set up despite the claim that it is really easy to download the app and quickly connect to our home wi-fi. The app wouldn't load on our desktop, the thermostat does a really poor job of controlling the temperature, especially with the cooling system. The system struggles to control the temperature, we have to constantly adjust the setting, and as time has gone by, the thermostat won't shut the system off unless we manually shut it down. Oh well, it is 4 years old, can't expect anything to last more than 4 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Install is easy if knowledgable about running C common wire. Wifi setup is easy. Make sure you understand which cycle choice to choose for optimum performance . There are more attractive screens available but price performance on this model excellent
Everything works great with my new honeywell thermostat. I actually bought it a while ago and was a little apprehensive to install it in my vacation rental. But with the lockdown in event I went for it. It was super easy to install and fired right up. Programming was very easy and it has been working perfectly for about a month now. I really love being able to check on it anytime. This will be a real headache saver for me when I get those needy guests too. My electric bill is the lowest I've ever seen too...lots of factors involved with that but I think this thermostat is saving me money too!
As a manual thermostat, it works well and has a lot of features. HOWEVER, as a smart home add-on the Honeywell servers are terrible. I estimate about 60-80% of the time I get the message "it looks like Honeywell Total Connect US is unavailable right now" on my Google Assistant. Therefore, 5-Stars as an "overpriced" manual thermostat and 1-Star for smart home functionality, meaning 3-Stars overall rating.

I have had this product for years in my primary residence, installed courtesy of Con Ed. I liked it so much that I wanted it in our vacation home when we purchased it a few years ago. This way I know the temp in the house and if there is electricity
