apps not as advertised
on March 6, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Says "100+ apps" on the box but in fact there are less than 12. Just bought this yesterday and am already disappointed. Good luck with samba tv if you don't have an ipad.
False advertising at best

The TV died after 14 months. Philips repair costs are very high. So it will end up in the garbage.
Cons: it lasted only 14 months

This TV was adequate given the price. The colors were never that great despite having adjusted many times. After 3 years the picture died although it still has sound.
It is too expensive to repair and will end up in the garbage.
I will never buy a Philips product ever again.
Pros: fairly decent until it dies
Cons: a tv should last many years
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As a large computer monitor it's good

I use this mainly as a computer monitor and a 2nd TV in my man cave, mounted to a swivel arm on the wall. 2 macs hooked up via HDMI and a PC hooked up with VGA. Turn of all image processing and use it straight up. It's got fast response times, the LED lighting is good and load a colour profile on the computer to compensate and you're good to go. Considering the price, it was and remains a good value.
Pros: vga input for legacy computers
Cons: only 2 hdmi
I would recommend this to a friend!

TV Turns off and on at will

I barely used the TV for some time after I bought it; when I started using it regularly, the TV would turn off randomly and become unresponsive (no way to turn it back on) then after some random time it would turn back on, it was too late for me to use the warranty but as stated I wasn't really using the TV so I couldn't detect this problem on time
