1080p IPS at a value price!
on February 10, 2014

This is an excellent value 1080p given most 32" in the same price range are only 720p. It has low input lag (good for gaming), includes a PC VGA connector, 2 hdmi, and mp4 support via USB . It uses an IPS LCD screen which is excellent for wide angle viewing without colour distortion. Dark level contrast is poor which results in not much detail in blacks, however colour uniformity is better than average. "120 cmr" mode not accessible from menu - not clear how this feature works. For a value-priced 32" LCD without smart features, this offers best picture-quality "bang" for the buck.
Pros: ips lcd, low image lag (fast response), vga input, mp playback via usb, 1920 x 1080 native, rgb offset for pro adjustment, full 24p support
Cons: poor dark level detail, no 120 cmr mode adjustments

Great Monitor!

I have used this device as a second monitor for my computer for over two years. It is also great for presentations from the ipad / phone (via AppleTV). One thing, you will need to set OVERSCAN to OFF in order to make the edges of the screen line up on your computer. Overscan is set from within the Advanced Settings of the Picture settings within the Menu. Short of that - everything is just what one would expect from a computer monitor. Not complicated at all - it just works. That said, I have never watched the first TV program on this device. I have used it to stream a TON of vids and TV though so - perhaps not the best unit there is (some refresh is slow in games) but for the price you cannot beat this unit.
Pros: reliable, easy to use

Great visual quality, but the "Net TV" is buggy with major issues.

The visual quality and options are great but if you plan to connect this TV to the internet or a network, then i don't recommend it at all. Trying to run apps or netflix on it is extremely frustrating. The TV will randomly turn its self on after you shut it down, which is a little freaky. When shutting down the screen will turn off and the sound continues playing for 5-6 min after its off. The connection often disconnects randomly causing you to restart it with long spells of "no connection" times on a problem free network. The UUID resets every time you turn the TV on, which causes Windows computers on the same network to register it as a new device every restart. My Device mangier currently shows 1,967 Philips TV's on my list which must be removed one at a time. The updates have to be manually installed and often don't fix any of the issues. Long loading times, often the remote will double click in apps causing navigation errors. The list goes on, but its all Net TV related issues from what I've noticed.
Pros: visual quality, sound quality
Cons: the net tv and apps are terrible

I give it five stars across the board. I really don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. The picture is one of, if not, the best I have ever seen
