I recently purchased an Otter Box case for my phone and after 3 months the belt clip broke off my holster. I went online and filled out the forms for warranty on a Tuesday and by Thursday the same week, I had a replacement. I was amazed at how fast Otter Box responded. I would totally recommend this product to everyone.
Pros: High quality
Cons: weak belt clip arrangement.

My husband has a otter box for his iphone and I really liked it. When I got my galaxy s4 mini cases were in short supply. I found the Defender and decided to try it. It does a great job all around protecting my phone and I am not to gentle either. However one thing I do not like would be around the home key is open a little. I did not notice the issue until I dropped my phone in my car and sand got under the protective shield. I had to take the case apart and clean it out. I understand why it is open, but wish it was not. This is why I did not give it a five overall rating.

Cons: opening around home button

Belt clip does not snap in place easily. Must move phone case back and forth until clip finds the right spot to lock. Previous case for a HTC phone worked perfectly without having to jockey the case into the right position.
Case around phone does not lock together well. Have to work to bring case closed, but rubber jacket around it holds it all in place.
Quality & performance has been lowered from older unit.

Purchased the Otterbox case for my new Samsung S4 Mini and have been very satisfied with its security and functionality. I highly recommend the cover to anyone needing protection and the ability to clip it on your belt. Only minor concern (?) has been as slight misalignment of the belt clip.

This is definitely the best protection available for the samsung galaxy s4 mini! I was holding my phone while it had the defender case protecting it, when we had lots of ice on the roads and fell going to my car. I landed on my hands and the screen hit directly on the ground and all it left was a scratch on the plastic part of the case, my phone was unharmed. Considering my phone was only a week old at that point... I was very happy to have the otterbox protection! My only complaint with this case, so far, is that the screen protection layer sits off of the screen instead of lying flat against it. Therefore, there is space between my phone screen and the protective layer and the layer bounces back and forth creating a clicking sound each time I type. I have let otterbox know about the situation and they are currently working with me to resolve it. Very nice company to work with!

Love the otter box products...only concern with this defender on Galaxy S4 mini is the screen protector does not fit flush with screen completely. Very functional for the most part, but occasional mis-selects.
