I've been an iPhone and Otterbox customer for almost a year now, although it wasn't until a few weeks ago I used the Commuter style. My phone came with a very rugged Defender, which was the pinnacle of protection... It was just too bulky, and the all-rubber exterior wasn't kind to the pocket.
The Commuter, on the other hand, is a fair tradeoff--- Less protection, I'll admit, but I'm still positive whatever I do to my phone (drop, sling, sit on, knock off the counter); it's protected enough, and slim enough to easily slide in and out of my pocket. I also liked pairing the gasket and shell colors, as opposed to having only the preset pairings of color in stores.

My only complaint is the port cover tacks. Over time, they (and the whole bottom bar of rubber, for that matter) stretch from use, which is acceptable, as that damage is covered under the otterbox warranty, as long as you hold on to your receipt.

It is a great case, but what I love most is how you can swap the outer and inner piece for different colors. There is a ton of variety in colors for both pieces of the case.

I finally broke down and got a new phone and obviously a new case. While the SE is still larger than I'd like it will have to do. I take care of my stuff and while making my phone even larger, it's well built and tough enough to take care of my phone.

I bought this case about 1 week ago. I really like the fact that I was able to choose the colors I wanted. I only wish there were more options to choose from! I had a little trouble getting the screen protector on, but I finally got it after watching the youtube video.

I bought this about a month ago and it is working quite well! It keeps my phone safe, the case is not tearing, or damaged from normal usage. It is holding up well, the black doesn't make the case over heated and I don't worry about my phone getting damaged even if I do drop it!
