Unreliable suction, small dirt cup

My wood floors don't get heavy use (two adults in the house) and I don't have pets. Unless I clean the small foam filter before each use, this vacuum has virtually no suction. Emptying the small dirt cup and bringing the foam filter outside to clean doubles the time it takes to vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The negatives are the handle is really shiort so is a bit uncomfortable to use and the vacuum part is too big to go under the furniture. Besides that I'm pretty happy with it so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best vacuum for me. I tried three before deciding on this one. Thankful that Bissell has such a great return policy! This vacuum is lovely on my wood floors, and has a suction release controll on the handle so that when I run over a throw rug on my wood floors, I can reduce the suction. This is fabulous since the suction is quite powerful! That's what one wants in a vacuum. It's not heavy to lug around, and the bagless option is also a bonus. The container is on the large side, so no emptying often either. I love this vacuum and highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My perchase of my new vacuum 1161 is a very good investment now my Hard floor are dust free.The vacuum setting on the handle makes it very handy as you get to adjust the suction power you want max for floors then you can adjust medium for furniture and even lighter for curtain very good feature one vaccum 3 different job Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I used this vacuum at a friends house and it worked great, but the cord was way to short and that alone would keep me from buying it, but if it had a longer cord I would buy one right away. Let me know if a longer cord is in the future.

Does as advertised, very gentle yet thorough on hardwood floors. I have about 1200 square ft of Ash flooring and a great deal of wooden built ins. It cleans better than previous vacuums and does no damage to the floor, built ins or furniture.
