Awesome for Wood Floors!

I was skeptical at first and wondered if this was really good on wood floors (or just some creative marketing!) But this really is a great vacuum for our apartment with all wood floors. The head kind of suctions to the floor and sucks up find debris. Even when the floors look "clean" this will pick up fine dust that we didn't see. We have a large dog and this is great for the hair too. I really like that it doesn't blow the dirt around like many vacuums do. Retractable cord is really a plus. The only con is that the canister is kind of small, so you may have to empty it more than once if you have a really large mess, but it hasn't been too big of a problem.

This was the best vacuum that I have ever owned for about three months. I didn't even mind the extremely short power cord. 3 mos in It started losing suction and the brushes stopped spinning even with regular maintenence and six months later I am shopping for a new vacuum cleaner. After every use I empty and cleaned the filter. There is no way to clean the paper filter so unless you are looking to buy both a new filter AND a new head every 6 mos look elsewhere. Disappointed in this company and product was a trusted brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great little vacuum, it has powerful suction but is light enough to move around the house with ease. With 3 dogs, it has been hard to find a vacuum that really cleans well, but this one does the job! The carpet attachment does not work as well as I would like it to, but after all, the vacuum is made for hard floors. It works well enough for the area rugs. I highly recommend this vacuum for anyone who has hard floors. One improvement could be a longer cord.

Better than my dyson

This has more suction than my dyson and light weight. I have hand scraped wood floors and the suction is amazing i also have the cross wave machine i never thought Bissell was that great but i'll Tell you dyson better watch out your machines are awesome and not expensive. Thank you bissell
