I use this on hardwood floors and tile. So far so good. I empty the canister regularly which is smallish but it is not a big deal. Great vacuum for the price and our needs. We have one medium sized dog in the house and the vacuum works fine with that amount of pet hair. Very light and easy to maneuver. I love the pause switch.

I had high hopes for this vacuum cleaner, but the cons outweigh the positives. The cord is way too short, and, having a Ccllie in the house, I am frequently having to remove four screws to empty pet hair that collects in the filter compartment. Also, the filter compartment had to be emptied often. The short cord, however, is the biggest engineering mistake in this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first vacuum I purchased did not turn on. The company was quick to replace it, but I wish I had simply returned it. I've used it once and was not happy with the suction, maneuverability, not the ease of use. I wish I could return them both.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The controls on the handle are poorly placed. You are constantly turning the machine to a lower level or off completely. It clogs too easily, filter is very ineffective, you have to clean the entire machine after every use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have dogs and hardwood floors. This vacuum is the best for that combo. Have owned for 5 years. Just recently needed to replace the hose as it cracked where it connects a to the handle - fair wear and tear. Tip: after the first several months getting annoyed every time I tried to use an accessory and the accessory holder fell off the handle, I took some hot glue and permanently fixed the problem. Now the holder stays put, never have wanted to remove it, so not sure why it was designed to be detached.
I would recommend this to a friend!
