I am not certain what has changed or perhaps its in the water/dishwasher but I have had my tilt stand mixer for 33 years this next fall and it has worked flawlessly. I make bread, grind meat, extrude pasta as well as mix things. This whip started showing signs of rust about a year ago and one of the wires broke off at the base just last year,
I do admit, I KNOW that you should NEVER leave ANY metal objects like this whisk in the dishwasher after the cycle because the humidity promotes rust....I have ruined a number of hand wisks like this in my life to know to care for them better. I commonly rinse and was h by hand....thanks for a great product, I love it, I will clean it an regrease it at 35 years and my kids can inherit it.

Used this whisk only twice, washed by hand put back on Mixer for storage. When I went to make Christmas dinner, I was making whipped cream, I went to remove it and my hand turned black. I found this very disturbing and threw away the whipped cream, thinking the residue had gotten into the cream. This time I soaked it, then washed it in dishwasher and it came out black and icky. Totally disappointed that I cannot use this, and won't use it again. Is there another brand or type of whisk for my KSM150?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new wire whip. I use it to beat the eggs and liquids when baking, then switch to my mixing blade. I think it helps fluff everything up.

It is so easy to operate and helped me accomplish in minutes what used to take much longer. Cleanup was a breeze! I can't wait to see what all I can do with it.
