I received the mixer and attachment pack 2 for Christmas 2015. I read the reviews and was concerned about the quality of the product, but because it came with a money back guarantee I thought I had nothing to lose. I have made about 35 pounds of sausage now and the grinder and stuffer work great, but slow by commercial standards (read the instructions!! Chill the meat!).
The shredder works great.
The slicer now works well since I sharpened the cutters, but you are very limited on your choice thickness

Bought the high priced attachment combo less than two years ago, expecting KitchenAid quality. After light household use the housing cracked through rendering the product useless.

Don't waste your money, first time using it to grind meat for burgers and the housing cracked! Guess I'll have to go back to buying ground beef, just doesn't make sense to buy another one!

Poor quality material/design

I have only used the slicer-chopper attachment a couple of times soon after we got the mixer. A couple of days ago I got it out of the cabinet to discover the housing had several cracks in the plastic.

Bought this mainly for shredding my cheese. The plastic has cracked so bad that the attachment won't stay in place anymore. Usless. Not sure I want to buy another one. Too much $$$$ for a poorly made product.

I got it as a present for the New Year, and wanted to use for food prep presentation. I wasn't able to grind the meet and found crack after the first use. Very disappointed. Before this one I was happy with all KitchenAid attachments.
