I purchased this grain mill several years ago but never had time to use it. After reading about all of the additives in store bread I decided to try to make my own. I have a bread maker but I don't like the shape of the loaf and it over cooks the bread drying it out. My family loves the fresh bread that I make with my kitchen aid mixer and they can't seem to get enough of the wonderful fresh ground taste. I add a cup of potato flakes and a bit more water to the basic recipe. This makes the bread more moist.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Convenient Features

I have owned a Kitchenaid mixer for well over 25 years and it is still in tip top shape and never fails me. I have found the same true of the grinder. Although we received the meat grinder not the grain mill (this is what we ordered it was not a mistake))

Not flour, fine meal.

Just ran a cup of hard wheat berries through and it was fast, easy to use and clean. But it produces a fine meal, but, not flour that I can use to replace commercial all purpose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Enables you to know exactly how fresh and what goes into the flour or meal of your kitchen. Grinding corn to make polenta/grits is especially nice, as you can fine tune the texture of your 'meal' to your preference. By varying the textures of the grains going into your next loaf, you can also achieve toothsome loaves with the 'bite' that you want.
