Not flour, fine meal.

Just ran a cup of hard wheat berries through and it was fast, easy to use and clean. But it produces a fine meal, but, not flour that I can use to replace commercial all purpose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Enables you to know exactly how fresh and what goes into the flour or meal of your kitchen. Grinding corn to make polenta/grits is especially nice, as you can fine tune the texture of your 'meal' to your preference. By varying the textures of the grains going into your next loaf, you can also achieve toothsome loaves with the 'bite' that you want.

The quality Kitchenaid folks truly amaze me. I bought this device because of the tough metal detail. I totally thought I would be returning it. But to my surprise it exceeded all aspects of delivery!
