[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this mill! I bough some hard white wheat and made some cookies. The finest setting was still not very fine so I ran it through twice and it seemed to do the trick! Took about 5 minutes for 4 cups on the highest setting.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though I'm an engineer, I read the instructions. Instructions could be better. First, the unit comes assembled, so it must be disassembled to remove the oil from the burrs. One screw was hand tight, the second was so tight it took a large screwdriver to remove. The supplied tool is not designed to remove a tight screw. How to wash without immersing ???? Obviously the body should be immersible, the movable burr is pinned to the shaft and the pin has to be driven out to get it apart, not easy and if not taken apart water remains in the gaps. As to grinding, pretty straight forward. The discharge chute is high enough from the work surface that the catch bowl needs set on something and is easy to knock over, here is why. When the grain feed hopper is just about empty and the mixer at speed 10, I expected to run all the grain out like a meat grinder. Before all the grain is through the screw, the mixer begins to shake violently, it did this every time, Slowing the speed helped but bottom line, if you want every seed out of the mill, the screw has to be removed. It works, I expected a finer grind but don't have a comparison with other mills and stand alone mills are much more expensive. I was happy with how my first couple of loaves turned out. I'll keep the mill and play with it but frankly I expect Kitchen Aid products to be better thought out. I would recommend for the small quantity baker like me, but with some reservations.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Made flour for a pie crust. It was very grainy. If you expect to get fine flower from this device you are unlikely to be happy with it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works very well. As advertised, it doesn’t grind as fine as commercial flour but does the job. The motor does get warm so grinding 4 cups or more requires cooling down the KitchenAid. If I were to use this every day or even every couple of days, I’d buy a stand alone mill. Not worth burning out my KitchenAid.
Does not work well if you need to mill flour. It took ~45 minutes to mill 120 grams of flour and the machine would overheat. Would not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this for a birthday present. I am gluten free and I got 8c of flour from 2 lbs of brown rice. Is going to be such a money saver for me over time..I am so happy with it!!!
My mill is one month past the warrantee, and as of this morning it’s completely unusable. The metal pin that holds the burr in place came out and ran through the grind worm. Accordingly to the manual, this piece isn’t even supposed to move. The metal is now warped beyond repair. I would not recommend this product. I only used about once every three weeks. I liked it before it broke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a little over a month ago. I have used it several times already and it’s produced a great finished product. It’s size makes it easy to store.
