I have always been a baker and used the regular hand mixers till they died. I am so happy with the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer I got for Christmas last year!! My hubby is happy too because I have ventured out from just baking now!! I would love to get all of the attachments and eventually have a Kitchen Aid Kitchen!
The only thing I don't like is when I have something "chunky" it sounds like my mixer is going to "jump" off the counter.

Used for month and am happy with the even toasting . I would like better if pull up lever raised bread higher and crumb tray had access from front. Nice look and and good insulation.

I just bought a new 7 quart mixer and I am very happy with it except with the way you take the beater off. You have to get your hand in the food to unhook it from the spindle. I guess I will just have to get used to it to have the 7 quart bowl.

It is a step up from my last Kitchen Aid and love it. So quiet. My dishes are so clean now. My entire kitchen has new Designer Kitchen Aid appliances. Sad, I am moving and can not take them. New half million dollar homes do not even have this. Sad!
