Had it for a couple of weeks now. Looks good, but we have to turn it up to 7 to get the toast done properly, and sometimes have to put it in for a second go. The internal elements don't seem to have an equal "glow" when they are on. Get the impression this product isn't of the same standard as our other KitchenAid appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a fantastic toaster it cooks lovely both sides are cooked perfect I have other brands of toasters in the past but never cook evenly I would recommend this product

I have only just started using the toaster and I am impressed. I would like some advice on what setting 1 piece of toast should be on for both side to cook evenly. I have mine on 5 and one side is not really getting cooked the same as the other side. I am using the left side.

Defrost feature doesn’t do much, can just toast frozen bread without having to use defrost. I like the separate controls, no more having to wait for the kids to toast their bread and me resetting for my bread type.
