This is a great toaster, it cooks our toast evenly, it makes a sound to let you know that your toast is ready, If you have members of the family who like their toast slightly cooked more than you this toaster is for you , its great as you can put two pieces on one side and cook at your desired toasting setting and the other person can put their toast in on a darker setting.

Just received the product direct from KitchenAid. Beautiful product, and good features (except the mandatory buzzer - enough said on this already). However, we have noticed the left side pair of slots appears weak on the outer sides. So we have uneven toasting - one side darker than the other. Not sure if this is a settling in process - watching and waiting.
