Ridiculously loud beep at start and end of roasting process. Temperature dial does not have a setting that actually toasts enough - setting 4 doesn’t toast enough and setting 5 burns the toast. So you have to cancel and restart toasting process to get it right.

This is a very fine toaster. Toast is usually even. If I had to give a thumbs down, it would be for the loudness of the beep! Wakes the whole house, so could be a little quieter.

This toaster has a few good features like the digital display for the toasting duration. One star short for the the toasting duration. To have a reasonably normal toasting, you have to turn the dial to 6 and the maximum toasting period is 7. Generally a good toast without any burnt will around the middle index which is around 3 to 4, which should give a reasonable adjustment allowance of to 7.
The model before this digital display was better programmed where the average index for a reasonably good toast without any burnt mark is turning the dial to the middle or slight over.
