I bought this a month ago, it looks fabulous is easy to use, has great features, and is solid. So many toasters are mainly plastic. The only issue is, we have it on the highest setting to toast bread well. No chance of burning! The beep referenced in other reviews is short and sharp. We have found this to be a positive. It is hardly an alarm and lasts for a second!

A civilised product! Makes average bread look good

I've been looking at purchasing this product for a few years but, until our current four slice toaster (another brand) broke down, couldn't justify the purchase. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't waited so long. This product is truly civilized, centering the bread being toasted, lowering the bread gently, beeping when ready. By centering and toasting evenly on both sides, it makes even average supermarket bread taste great, let alone artisan sourdough.

I received this toaster 3 weeks ago it has made a huge difference to our family, finally not throwing out burnt toast! and fighting with family members about not adjusting the settings, This toaster is amazing, we love it.

Love this toaster, it matches my mixer and looks super cute on the bench. It functions really well, cooks evenly and takes very thick toast. Easy to use, well built, lovely stainless crumb trays and a beeper that's only slightly ear piercing.

Firstly, this toaster looks lovely, is well-sized and doesn't take up too much room on the counter, generally toasts well (although I've never used a setting below five out of seven) and has some convenient features (like reheat, and the countdown bar). However. It beeps. Loudly. Very loudly. This toaster should come with a warning on the box stating that it beeps, and a way to disable the beeping. If I had known it beeped, and so incredibly loudly, I absolutely would not have purchased it. I have serious regret over purchasing this product, which is disappointing because I otherwise really like it. I cannot use the toaster when people are asleep in my house. Yes, the beeping is *that loud*. It beeps when the toast goes down, and it beeps when the toast comes back up. The beeping is wholly unnecessary, and the person who thought it would be helpful was unfortunately very mistaken. The world is a loud place; the last thing we need is appliances that beep. The crumpet setting is a bit ineffective also - I end up toasting my crumpet twice on the five setting to get it just right. Otherwise, a lovely toaster, and another good appliance from Kitchenaid. Apart from the beeping.

Toasting is very even and the time settings once you know what you want are very accurate. Beep is very loud though. Missing one feature though, which is a quick 30-60 top up. For the price I'm surprised it doesn't have this feature.
