I’ve been looking forward to finally finding a toaster that has the ability to cook a perfect crumpet.
Unfortunately, I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.
Toasting on the highest setting leaves the crumpet uncooked. It takes 2 times setting 5 to work.

We expected more from a KitchenAid product. It does not perform as we expected and is slower than our existing toaster. The reaon for replacing it was because it was so slow and this one is just as bad if not worse. One side moves the bread/muffin up and down while toasting while the other side stays down and holds the toasted article firmly in the middle of the slot. The side that moves up and down does not brown to the top edge of the slice of bread.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
