I have used this vacuum 3 times in a 2-story single family residence with a pet dog. I replaced a 5-year-old Eureka vacuum cleaner. The new Bissell Power Glide® Lift-Off® Deluxe Upright Pet Vacuum model 2763 removed deep imbedded dirt as well carpet and dog fibers. I filled the dirt canister the first 2-times, and 1/3 filled on the 3rd. use. The noise sound emanating from the motor is much lower than any previous vacuum I have had and or any other vacuum I hear at hotels or coming from my neighbor's homes. This vacuum retracts closer to the floor to make it easier for use under a low table. The lift off feature I used on the stairs from the 2nd. story to the main floor seem to have worked well with the small power brush. I will try to see if there is a positive difference using the upright vacuum on the stairs. Plan to use more time cleaning with this vacuum due to the width of the brush being smaller than the Eureka brand I replaced, just like the reports from other users. This MAY be a good thing for areas that would require moving of furniture or between furniture and a wall.

We use the vacuum on laminate floors with area rugs that we and our dogs live on. The vacuum works great but after about a year, the wheels stop rolling smoothly and it is like pushing a concrete block along the floor. That is why we had to replace the one we had. Does a great job keeping the dog hair and dander cleaned up.

I received my new vacuum last week and immediately put it together...I was so excited. I had had my old bag vacuum for the past 12 years I thought it was time for a new one! I have 2 kids and 2 dogs. After much research on the Bissell web site I decided to go with this one! What sold me was the Lift-Off. I have stairs and thought I would also use it in my cars. After setting up the new vacuum I couldn't wait to use it! I vacuumed every rug and carpet in my house. All I can say is GROSS! I could not believe what I saw in the canister! Just after vacuuming 2 throw rugs I had to empty it! I really felt like I must have been not cleaning the carpets very well with the old vacuum. My husband vacuumed his car and also thought it worked great. Very easy to empty and carry the Lift-Off, it even sits up by itself! Well worth the money!!!

Best Vacuum we have ever had

I don't write product reviews and this is my first. We love this vacuum. We have two dogs and two cats with a lot of fur all over our house. This vacuum is amazing as it picks up everything from the hardwood floors, tile and area rugs. We also use it on our furniture and I have been know to vacuum our duvet cover while it is on the bed. No damage and it picked up all the hair. The power cord is longer than most which allows me to vacuum an entire room and other areas without having to stop. We have three flights of stairs so the lift off aspect of the vacuum is excellent as I can get up and down the stairs with no issue using the hose and nozzle to suck up all the hair. This is very convenient and easy to use. The canister is easy to empty and clean as well as the filters. We like this product so much that I have bought 4. Two for us and two as gifts.

Say "goodbye" to pet fur

Off-white carpet and 3 long-haired gray cats just don't mix. I need a powerful vacuum that targets unwanted pet hair on carpets and upholstery and the new Bissell PowerGlide Pet Vacuum delivers. I love the way the handle tilts to glide the vacuum around corners and the beater-bar on the bottom really works to remove dirt and fur from our carpets. I think the slightly heavier weight of the vacuum adds to the ability of the beater-bar to dig-in instead of just bouncing over the top of our plush pile carpet. The included upholstery tool is an energy-saver for removing fur from our couches and chairs. I never had it so easy. I don't have any stairs to try out the removable canister, but I'm sure many will appreciate the ease of use of this feature. My only minor complaint is that the cord holders are so close together that it takes a lot of wrapping to secure the cord in place. However, I do appreciate the longer length of the cord. Last but definitely not least, this vacuum really has suction! I vacuum every day and sometimes twice a day and this vacuum picked up more material on its first use than my previous vacuum ever had. I couldn't be more pleased with my new PowerGlide Pet Vacuum. Another great product from Bissell.

The Bissell Power Glide Pet Vacuum cleaner has great features. I am overall impressed with the amount of debris, dog hair and dirt that it picks up. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to use. A must have product especially if you have pets. This vacuum and the easy operation allows you to get into small and tight corners and spaces to get the dirt, debris and dog hairs. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to maneuver. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner, a great product by Bissell.
