A good choice for a lightweight yet powerful vacuum!

This PowerGlide beats all of the lighter weight vaccums . The lift off is fantastic for doing steps. The suction is powerful for pet owners. The only thing I did not like was the control of the swivel steering. It reminded me of trying to ride a bike with crooked handle bars. It was really hard to control the vacuum on rugs. If Bissell could adjust the steering this would definitely have an excellent rating from me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried using one of the digital motor sticks, and for anyone looking to use such a vacuum, they can't pick up debris very well, even with multiple passes. This thing's pretty decent. It's quite powerful, turns reasonably well despite being a somewhat heavy handful. The power switch is a bit tricky though, and requires a bit of a firm push to switch. It's also in a bit of an awkward spot, though given that the canister is meant to be detached, this is understandable. The detaching mechanisms can also be a bit tricky to work with, but all in all, a good machine so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size of the machine, and the suction adjuster on the hose. The hose does seem to be a bit stiff, maybe needs to be broken in more. I do not feel I have control over the machine at times, I am used to back and forth and it will veer off to the right or left and I find it hard on my wrist. I will keep trying to master it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i use this vacuum on basically every surface!! it's amazing, i'm 100% glad i upgraded. i love the way it's easy to push on every surface and grabs every crum. but the one thing i dislike is how the you have to put the cord back yourself.

Thank you Bissell, I still can't believe I have won this fantastic vacuum. I've been using my new Bissell vacuum for over a month and it does an AMAZING job getting up pet hair and dirt that's probably been embedded in my carpets for years. Suction power, attachment are all great, it works on all the different floors and fabrics in my house, which is key with two cats and one dog. When I emptied the dirt canister after the first use, it look like I'd vacuumed up half a cat and dog, plus the canister is so easy to empty. After years of struggling to get up both cat and dog hair, this vacuum delivers what it says. You don't have to go over the carpet many times to remove it all. The carpets not only look great after I vacuum but the house smells so much cleaner and fresher too.

Poor design, bad product

Vacuum not compatible with pet hair. Hair wraps around the spindle and spins the belt right off. I replaced the belt 8x attempting to vacuum one room. Replacement belts do not fix the problem. Even if the belt worked, the product would receive only 2-3 stars from me because of the poor design of the lift-off and hose. The hose doesn't stretch like you need it to, therefore it is necessary to buy two additional wands to make it marginally functional. You still have to keep either a foot or a hand on the lift-off because without a stretchy hose, the thing falls over on you. Would not purchase again. Would not recommend. Very poor design. Disappointed.
