Great suction but belt fell off 1st use

The suction is great, had a Hoover for 1 week, broke on the 2nd time we turned it on, tried this tonight and worked great other than the belt came off after 25 minutes of using it. My husband and to take 7 or 8 screws off to get to the belt, took him another 4 minutes to get the belt attached again, if it continues to come off I will take it back to the store for my money back. I'm not strong enough to replace the belt myself.

Great vacuum ...

This vacuum works great! I have a German Shephard/Doberman mix and she sheds like crazy pretty much all year. This vacuum does a great job in getting all the hair (and dirt) up. I don't know what model some people are talking about where you have to disconnect hose to use Lift Off, but I don't have to do that. The Lift Off option is fantastic for stairs. I have mostly hardwood floors and the brush on/off option is great too. The only downfall is that it does not come with a lot of attachments and the hose is short and very tight. I've also had a hard time ordering the optional attachments and spare parts (just to have, didn't need them) through this site. Twice I received some of the parts I ordered and not others even though according to Bissell's records the missing parts should have been in the shipped boxes - I've had to call three times to correct the situation and finally receive all of the parts I ordered.

Stair cleaning hassle. Suction hose too short. Hand held agitator useless, constantly stops bristle rotation, never ending job of cleaning rotating bristle. Never buy Bissell product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After reading the reviews I have decided not to purchase the PowerGlide Pet Vacuum with Lift-Off Technology. I have a Bissell Carpet clearer unit and love it and was considering a new vacuum cleaner and looked at this one. The reviews played a big part in my deciding not to purchase this machine.

I have 3 cats and its hard to keep my couches clean. With the lift off feature this vacuum makes it easy to clean them. It swivels around the furniture easily. Its so lightweight that my 2 yr old loves to act like shes helping mommy. The only con is where you push down on the base with your foot instead of a lever. I prefer the lever. Other than that its awesome.

Lots of trouble with belts

I have had unit less than one year and have had to replace the belt about 7 times. I had to replace the brush roller two months ago and it has already broken and needs replaced. Something needs to be done. Not a happy camper to say the least.

Love my new Powerglide!

I've had my new Powerglide for just over a month and love it! We have two large dogs so keeping up on the loose hair is a never ending task. Since our floors are a mix of hardwood and carpet the Powerglide and its features make cleaning both surfaces a breeze. I highly recommend this product!
