Three Large Dogs Makes For a Lot of Fur Clean-up

My husband and I were looking for a reliable pet vacuum and we decided on the Deluxe Pet Vacuum. One thing that sold both of us was the Lift-Off technology allowing us to use the canister on the stairs and also to vacuum out the car after taking the dogs to the park. We have two Golden Retrievers and a German Shepard and they can shed a lot! This vacuum is awesome! It picked up pet hair that our old vacuum missed and it was so easy to switch from carpet, to tile, to hardwood floors. I do have to vacuum every day, but it's actually enjoyable with this vacuum. The Pet Eraser is also easy to use on the couches and the stairs. Will definitely recommend this vacuum to our pet loving friends!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product and very efficient. Love the swivel steering and the handle on the hose, the length of the cord is perfect for me, I can vacuum a whole room without bringing the cord to the closest outlet. The design of the dirt tank separator is very useful, I don't have to reach inside to clean all the dirt stuck in there anymore. I think it needs to have a better design to hold all the specialty tools, not only 2 out of the 5 tools it comes with. I would like to see all the tools being able to be attached to the vacuum instead of being in a bag which I have to carry around everytime I use it. Also, the extension wand is pushed by the carpet or floor and the brush tool and the extension wand end on the floor...everytime I vacuum. Not a deal breaker, still an excellent product and would buy it again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better Vacuum Ever Used but could be better

This is the very good vacuum I have ever used . This is my first Bissell while in USA.It fulfilled all my requirements except following two which can be very easily added to this model. 1. It should have retractable chord. This is very good feature and can be added to this model very easily. The best location is at bottom of lift off. 2. It should have one brush attachment for carpet stairs or for carpet corners. If customer service reads my review, please let me know which one is the best Bissell carpet Stairs attachment that would work with this vacuum. I want to buy separately and do not want to return it , due to this part.

Disappointing Performance

This was my first Bissell product, and quite probably my last. The belt for the brush will not stay on, turning a 15 minute session of vacuuming into a hour long wrestling match with the machine, trying to put the belt back on. If this is an example of the quality of design of all of their products, I will not buy another Bissell machine.

I wanted to love it but...

When we purchased this item, we wanted to love it so much. The lift-off feature is by far the greatest feature and is great for stairs. However, everything else was a constant headache. We were needing to reattach the belt every time we used it. While it was designed for pets, our two dogs' fur was constantly clogging the vacuum to the point it was taking longer to get the vacuum working then it was being used. We're switching vacuum brands because we're tired of constantly battling with the vacuum to keep our house clean.

FANTASTIC VACUUM

had owned 2 Bissell's before, wore the first one out and the second was good except it had an open dump container and with pet hair it would let it fly out when dumping...so I wanted a sealed container that would hold the pet hair till I opened the bottom dump latch. So it was between this PowerGlide or a Shark Navigator vacuum.. and I had the Shark in my hands after about 2hrs studying the features... but I knew how our last Bissell's performed and went back and picked this PowerGlide up instead.. besides (Bissell... We mean Clean!)... and got it home and wow what a fantastic vac.. and watched some youtube video's and saw just how well it did against the very Shark vacuum I was looking at... this Bissell beat it hands down. Keep up the great work on the vacuums.
