I have two dogs, one of which is a puppy, and not quite potty trained. I decided I needed a carpet deep cleaner since I rent. I brought this product home and I could not believe the difference! My house smelled cleaner and the stains that we're driving me crazy...GONE! With one use, great investment. Thanks Bissell!

I waited to post a review until I had used the cleaner a few times. I used it on stained spots on our carpet first and was really surprised by how well it cleaned these! Then I cleaned two whole rooms and then an upholstered chair. Our carpet is beige/off-white, and so is the chair...and this carpet cleaner really made a difference. Two of the stains on the chair had been there for about eight years and I had tried many times to get the stains out with other products. It was also very easy to assemble, and only took about 10 minutes until I was ready to use it. It was simple to fill and empty; the instructions were easy to understand; and it was easy to maneuver. All in all, I was truly impressed by this cleaner!

I called Bissell my machine is still under warranty. They gave me a repair service I called them the man said he will fix it and less there's a receipt I don't have my receipt it was a gift. So I called before put in a complaint still waiting three weeks. Tried to call corporate office there's no phone number listed it's a fax machine. Thanks not happy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

--This product was very easy to assemble. It took me about 15 minutes. --Compared to machines I have owned and used in the past, it is quiet. --I love how easy it is to lift the water reservoir and refill. And yes, the water stays warm during the cleaning process. --The lint filter was great at catching pet hair. --Is it effective at removing spots? Absolutely. I had several dirt ingrained areas on my light beige carpet. The machine removed the spots without any sort of pre-treatment. --The attachment is a godsend as it's long enough to use on the stairs and the hose is very flexible. Thank you Bissell for adding this feature. I no longer have to try and balance the cleaner on my stairs. --This cleaner is lightweight and easy to push. ---It truly is a must for anyone who owns pets or has kids. I highly recommend it!

We had a large area rug which needed to be cleaned and it did a pretty great job - the colours seem much brighter now. We vacuumed the rug first so don't know how it deals with hair/large dust/etc, nor can we comment on the long-term, but the fact that it offers a 2 yr (limited) warranty bodes well for the expected longevity. #sweepstakes

I was hoping to fall in love with this machine but I didn't. I wanted something to clean my stairs but there is no way I can lift this heavy machine on the stairs. The machine is very bulky and heavy. I wish I could return it but I'm stuck with it.

I researched several different machines including other brands before purchasing this one because I had a "must have" list for the new shampooer. This machine had everything I wanted, larger capacity tank, wider cleaning path and the tank on the base instead of the handle. It did an excellent job. While it didn't remove everything (I live in a rental that had existing stains) I can't hold it against the machine, some old stains are just permanent, but it did leave the carpet very bright and soft and clean. It has such good suction that I pulled up enough dog hair to make a new dog, proving to me that the 10 yr old Oreck vacuum had seen better days. That led me to purchase a new vacuum from Bissel also because I couldn't stand the idea of dog hair in the carpet. That machine also is a beast when it comes to suction and out performed the Oreck by leaps and bounds, but I will leave that for my review of the PowerForce Helix...
