Machine did a good cleaning job as intended. It did leave behind some of the deeper stains, but perhaps I need to do a pre-treat next time. Very easy to install, use, and fill/drain/refill water and solution. Solution can be a bit pricey in my opinion, especially when repeated trips to the sink for refills continue to happen. Also, solution smells decent, but does not leave that "fresh scent" in the carpet when finished, as advertised. Overall, great product for the home, opposed to having to go out and rent heavier, industrial strength machines.

This product is so easily to use.Putting it together was so easy. I was amaze on how lite weight it was and easy to use. It did a excellent job on the carpet. We have other Bissell products, but this one by far is the best.

I just bought this cleaner today and cleaned my carpets this evening...I love this machine. I have 4 Corgis and to say my carpet needs extra love and care is an understatement. I have just rented a carpet cleaner from the grocery store a month ago and the amount of dirty and hair I got up today was crazy...I thought my carpets were clean...They were not, but they are now. I am extremely impressed with this lightweight machine that is amazingly easy to use and has a lot of suction to help the carpets dry faster...BUY THIS MACHINE, GREAT VALUE FOR SUCH A LITTLE PRICE!!!!! (I never write reviews, but I had to write this one,)

The first time I used the machine I was only able to clean the carpet in one small bedroom before it broke. When I started on the second room, there was no spray coming from the floor (or the hose, as I subsequently realized). Then as I was troubleshooting, I saw that the cleaning solution was leaking out from the bottom of the machine. Also, the machine did not extract the solution from the carpet properly, despite having made several passes over the saturated areas. This was not user error. I have used several types of carpet cleaners over the years without incident. I read--and re-read--the instructions and then followed the troubleshooting guide to a "T." The bottom line: this machine is a dud. I'm really disappointed, Bissell. I have a lot of respect for the Bissell Pet Foundation and want to continue to support this Michigan-based company. Luckily, I purchased a couple of other Bissell products (PowerFresh Steam Mop and the Steam Shot Handheld Steam Cleaner) at the same time as this carpet cleaner, and I love them. Note: While it was under warranty, I had read far too many complaints about Bissell customer service, and I honestly didn't want to deal with the rigmarole at that time. I put it off too long, and the warranty expired.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Essentially Superb!

This is the third Bissell product I have purchased over the years. This is by far the easiest most "Essentially" efficient personal rug cleaner. The name is true to its functionality. One, two passes with releasing the cleaning solution on a pretty soiled carpet, then with the strong suction the carpet was "Essentially" dry. The on boards tools I used on my living room furniture, great results. I will be doing my vehicles interior and dining room chair seats. I'm extremely happy endless uses, absolutely would strongly recommend.

My Bissell experience began with a bag type vac that I used for an employer. I was so impressed with it durability that I said when I buy a vac that will be the brand I get. Well I have yet to buy one and I own two. Both were being discarded because the owners didn't know how to maintain them. I did the small maint and purchased the belts and filters and attachments that didn't come with them. It was there that I had made my mind up that Bissell will always be my official floor care company. I purchased this DeepClean Essential system because it is affordable and tough and durable and very strong and serves it purpose well. I highly recommend Bissell products for any of your floor care needs. The competition is good however Bissell is my top choice.

After figuring what it would cost me to rent a machine, I saw that it wouldn't cost that much more to purchase this machine and then I would have it and would be able to use it again and again. The product is great. It did a fantastic job cleaning my carpets. The one area that really stood out was the bottom carpeted step leading down from the second floor. Standing at the top step, the carpet looked like a different color. I figured this was wear. After I used this machine, it returned to its original color. I was really amazed. It performed just as well on all my carpets. This machine could be a bit sturdier, but considering the amount of usage and carpets I have (six rooms worth) it was a good buy for me. The water container could be larger. Also, best to fill it at a kitchen sink not a bathtub. If you get water around the outside of the bladder that has the cleaning solution, the machine could stop the suction early. You'll understand this more if you buy one of these machines (they all work the same). Overall, great product and very happy with the purchase.

easy assembly

This product is easy to assemble and use the only concern I had was the tank and bladder inside the tank. when filling the bladder the instructions say to fill with hot water first then add cleaning solution. I would recommend the opposite first clean solution then water other wise it will over fill. Second the bladder doesn't hold enough water the red fill indicator never moved indicating there was no more cleaning solution so needless to say I made some dry passes. finally you can only make about 3 to 4 passes when going by instruction squeeze trigger making one slow pass forward and one slow pass backwards. other than that if a person doesn't mind the constant trips from the room your cleaning to the kitchen sink this is a good deep cleaner, and cleaning carpets if you have pets. This is also a good replacement if your Bissell Powergroom vaccum goes out and they don't carry a replacement part.
