Very dissappointed

This product has only been used one time to clean the carpets in my home. Tried to do some spot cleaning, and the tools application of dispensing and suction worked, but not the carpet application. All of the Bissell suggested places for repair are over an hour away from me and that is about ridiculous to have to travel that far to get it fixed. I will try another place closer to home to try to get it fixed. If not, you can bet that I will not buy another Bissell carpet cleaner.

Hi Betty - have you had a chance to try any troubleshooting steps on your cleaner, it could be something simple stopping it from spraying. Suction stopped completely after a few uses..

I've had this product for a little while and it did great at first but then when I used it about the 10th time there was no suction at all from the floor part or the handle part...I do not know where my reciept is for it since we moved but I am hoping I can bring it in and have it fixed since it is still under warranty. And yes I did all the troubleshooting plus some and it still has no suction...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ProHeat Upright Carpet Cleaner was bought to replace an older unit that we had for close to 10 years. The reason for replacement was do to the pump failing. We have already used the ProHeat Cleaner once and found the cleaning was very good. The amount of moisture left after the cleaning was minimal so the drying time was very quick. I do appliance repair for a living and found the construction was well thought out. The manual was well laid out and very explanatory on assembly and use. The only thing that I found very poorly explained was the use of the cleaning solution and amount. The use of the solution cup explanation and the amount to use was buried with in a paragraph that most people would miss. We are very pleased to hear of your support for animals as we also support the SPCA and the rescue of pets. Thank You

Worked ok...can't clean it

We bought ours less than a year ago. We spent too much at a home goods store. $250 instead of $150...it operated fine until we tried to get up some foul smelling dog waist. Tried to clean it but it gives off an awful odor. Nothing online tells you how to clean it. Very bummed out....thinking of buying a Hoover or another brand.

Hi Scott - The water tank and front nozzle can be removed to clean. Rinsing with water and a mild detergent should help. You may also want to clean any debris/hair wrapped around the brush as well. Give us a call and we can walk you though in detail how to clean the machine. 1-800-237-7691.

i have purchased a number of Bissel Cleaners in the past years and have nothing but positive experiences with all. I currently have a Complete Essential and it is the cleaner I use for the heavy duty jobs like Spring cleaning, holiday clean-up, and anytime I have very soiled carpets. It does a fantastic job and is easy to clean up after using. I also have a Bissel Quick Steamer that is as it says , for those quick jobs and walkways. It does a great job but has no attachments. Then, I purchased a little Green Machine for furniture and small area rugs. We use it on the car interior also. I probably could of done without this cleaner but it too does a great job! I have nothing but 100% satisfaction with all three! Hopefully Bissel doesn't introduce something else that I may like for sometime! I am sure that with proper care and cleaning after each use I won't need another cleaner for a long time! BTW my neighbor has borrowed my two upright cleaners and had nothing but praise and no longer uses a carpet cleaning company for her home! Thank you Bissel! You get 15 stars from me!

This is a great product. Very easy to use. Rolls easy and lightweight. Love the 2 in 1 water tank. The pressurized spray is great. Absolutely love the soap with febreeze, the smell is fantastic. You now have a loyal Bissell customer. Thanks for making such great products.

Works great, but very few times

The product worked great 3 times. Then, it stopped working. The issue seems to common that it isn't spraying any detergent. I've cleaned it out everytime after using it. It is actually quite difficult to clean it out because of the way it is assembled.
