I bought a LG and Samsung monitor prior to this purchase. I am pleasantly pleased how bright and brilliance the color is with this monitor. I highly recommend it. Good buy for the price.

total failure not two months old

One minute working, one minute total blank, no power light.... tried several outlets. The little black box on the power cord lights, and the green light on the back comes on...... but not the power light. It will not turn on. Nothing happened to it and it is not even two months old. The computer that was plugged into the same UPS supply / surge protector is just fine. Defective item.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I ordered the HP 2311x 23" LED Monitor. At first it seems huge, but I quickly got used to it. The display is amazing! Great sharp images! I didn't have to fool with any of the settings other than brightness (I use it in a darker room sometimes). Plus this was the cheapest I could get it, actually upgraded to this size (deal with buying computer).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sleek monitor. Easy on the eyes. No problems with glare. Large screen without taking up too much space. Nice step up in size without being overly huge. Simple setup.

Having trouble

I need to send it back, there is a short in the spot where the video cable connects. Tried several cables and all had the same result. The picture goes crazy fuzzy and psychedelic.

What can I say? Our old computer was purchased in 2000 and the monitor was so small. All the websites have been too large to view in full for a long time. This is a wonderful improvement! Why did I wait so long to upgrade?
