Not very good

The display performance is good.
It's very slim and light.
The monitor stand is cheaply made.
The monitor stand does not move upward and downward!!
There's not any USB port on monitor sides!

Fine, but there may be better choices

I bought an HP monitor along with my new desktop, expecting that they would work well together, since I've had problems with incompatibility in the past. So far so good. It works and the picture is nice.
I was disappointed in the almost total lack of set-up and adjustment information. This is supposedly an LED monitor, even though the shipping box says LCD. There are multiple ways to hook it up (VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc.) but no guidance whatsoever about why you might prefer one kind of connection over another.
Even worse, there's no information about the adjustment controls. Out of the box, this monitor was almost blindingly bright. It turns out the default settings are virtually max for brightness and contrast, which may look great in a showroom but not in my home office. It took a while to figure out how to adjust it because there was no documentation about the controls, and a lot of this stuff isn't very intuitive for the average user. I had to find some instructions online, which was annoying, and they weren't all that helpful anyway.
And there's no USB slot, which I thought was kind of cheap. To hook up my web cam I had to run the USB cable all the way down to the CPU - more wire, more clutter on the desk. I figured that would be standard, so didn't even bother to check the specs before buying.
Now it's working fine and the image is good. I use a computer mainly for work and web surfing. I'm not a gamer, so those capabilities are lost on me. I need sharp text that won't give me a headache using it for 7-8 hours straight.
I'm not really unhappy with it but if I could do it again I'd shop around for a different monitor.

I couldn't get this monitor to work!!! Neither the original, not a replacement would give me anything other than a blank screen. I think the main problem is a very poorly engineered on/off switch,

I am generally pleased with this monitor for the price -- when purchased with a system. It has full HD resolution, and is easy on the eyes.
Purchasers should keep in mind this monitor does not come with any built-in speakers. Personally, I do not care for the tinny sould typical of built-in speakers, so it was not a problem for me.
What was a little disappointing was the cost of using two monitors with one PC. There was no way to order a second monitor with a HP system to obtain the system discount, and because it does not come with an HDMI cable, the price for a cable further increased the cost of the second monitor. (The monitor comes with a DVI cable and VGA adapter; the video card in my system came with one DVI output and one HDMI output. Thus, to use a second monitor I had to not only pay more for the monitor, but also buy an HDMI cable to hook it up.)
I would recommend this to a friend!
