Setup can't be much easier--add the two base pieces to the display and plug in the data cable and power cord.
Display is fast, and color and clarity is all I hoped for.
I have yet to find a bad pixel.
Some reviewers have said the unit cannot be disassembled, but this is not true. The two base pieces are easily removed, one by a push button, the other by two clips.

It would probably be helpful for the instructions to describe how the base comes apart.

Great Monitor

I've had this monitor for 3 weeks and absolutely love it! I went from a 19" to this 23" and it's amazing the difference it makes. I've watched movies flawlessly (my monitor is bigger/better than my TV screen) and really enjoy that I can easily see more than one program at a time on my screen. The colors display great, no bad pixels, and the only small con I can come up with is that I wish it would tilt down a bit more!

Good Monitor awkward buttons

The clarity and high definition are very good. The buttons along the bottom front are awkward to use, they could be desinged better for ease of use. I was unable to get vga to work right, had to call support and got good results, had to use hdmi instead. Using hdmi solved my color issues with the monitor. With vga I was unable to get the right color, white appeared pink and other colors were off. The monitor itself is very good using hdmi.

great monitor

i have only been using this 2311x, 23" monitor for a short time, but so far it's working great.
matte screen with shiny black surrounding besel.
very lightweight for it's size. good stand. good forward and back tilting. easy to reach ports in back.
i'm using it on a newer mac mini and it is important to go into the settings and
from the main menu select image control, then select custom scaling, then overscan. select off. i am using an hdmi cable.
mine came with overscan set to auto, and this made the image too large for the
screen size, and the text was blurry. turning overscan off fixed these problems.
it's worth your while to play with the controls a bit and see how you like them set.
you can always reset them back to the defaults, and start over.
my previous hp monitor is a 22" and has a glossy screen, and while i like it, i also like this matte finish. they both seem to have their good aspects.
i tried a 27" first and found for me the screen size was too large for this resolution. the 27,25, and 23 all have the same 1920x1080 (1080p) resolution.

Great monitor, Great price

I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality. This monitor is also LIGHT, like way less than half as heavy as my previous 19" LCD monitor. I would buy again!

Great monitor, with 1 caveat

Overall the monitor is great. Very bright, fast response, etc. My only issue is that the power cord and monitor cord stick straight out of the back of the monitor, which means the monitor has to be at least 3 inches from the wall. There are no provisions to mount the monitor, but at least have the cords attach vertically so the monitor can go closer to the wall.

Excellent monitor for my everyday use. I especially like the LED lighting, the HDMI connectivity and the fact that the monitor is ENERGY STAR rated.

Major improvement over CRT monitors. I ordered one for my wife's PC and one for mine. Our only very minor gripe is the power on/off switch. It is poorly placed and should be on the front of the monitor and not underneath. I would have preferred a power button exactly where the power indicator light is - lower right front side.
