Not as happy as I hoped to be be with dishwasher

I wish that you could tell where in the cycle it was, e.g. rinsing, washing, drying, etc. Also, even though you are not supposed to have to rinse the dishes first, just scrape off the excess food, if you don't, they do not get clean. On the other hand, I have not been happy with any dishwasher that makes this claim; after all, if you aren't rinsing first, isn't the dishwasher using water with food particles in it to wash the dishes? Just okay with this purchase and wish I hadn't spent so much.

Cleans well, but...

This dishwasher cleans very well and is quiet. However it will melt certain dishwasher safe plastic dish ware on the lower shelf. I've had a tech out twice to be told it is functioning properly. They advised me to put plastic on the top. What about the items too large for the top? After spending a nous and dollars on this dishwasher I will have to hand wash plastic dish ware that is too large for the top shelf. Not acceptable! But what choice do I have? I've already lost several peices due to severe melting on the lower shelf. Design flaw in my opinion.

I got this 4/19/14 runs ok clens ok. Came home today to flooded kitchen floors walls cabinets all soaked. Pulled it out and was spraying out of the pump motor no quick fix have to return and play the song and dance and try and get my money back. We'll back to drying the walls.

desperately unhappy with this washer. Water from the hidden steam vent puddles on the button control panel needing to be wiped up every 5 minutes or it drips down the front of the SS washer door leaving drip marks and puddling on my hard wood floors beginning to ruin them. We cannot run the washer at night as someone must stand near the washer to wipe up the puddles on the control panel from the steam vent. We needed to buy "Puppy pads" to lay infront of the washer to sop up the water puddling if I don't wipe it up fast enough. This is a mess. Stay away from this washer.

I bought this within the last 6 months and I am underwhelmed. I was not aware of how long the washer runs, which can be a very long time depending on settings. This dishwasher was very expensive and does not clean that well. I could have purchased another dishwasher for a lot less.
