Was great til the warranty ran out

I bought this, admittedly, for the color. The slate, which is only really offered by GE, was exactly what I was looking for. I bought this, a fridge and a stove. A couple years later, it stopped drying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This model has no 'air dry' feature. In order for the dishes to dry without using the heat, you have to add a rinse aid, which costs extra. Other than that, I'm very happy with the product.

beautiful front door

Exterior very nice door is flat which works great because we have a drawer that pulls out there. Inside interior is very nice with the stainless steel, but I wish they would work on the racks because they are very small compared to my old ones. They do not angle dishes to drain of the water. They do not have enough prongs on the bottom rack to hold smaller dishes from falling through. The silverware racks are in the front and are so enclosed that the silverware does not get clean as well as the old machine. Does not dry very well, when I open door lots of water still on machine door and racks.

This dishwasher worked great until it didn't. We had it installed when we had our home rebuilt in 2015 after Hurricane Sandy and it ran fine. Was alittle loud but other than that ran fine. That is until last night when it decided to stop cleaning the dishes. And leaking into our basement. Because there was no leaks from the dishwasher onto the kitchen floor and just the fact that the soap was not dispensing, ( the soap door would open, but not dispense) I thought the filters needed to be cleaned. So I did that and ran the dishwasher again. Several more times. My husband happen to go into the basement and find the leak. Mind you again no leak in the kitchen. When we pulled the dishwasher out there was no water on any of the tubing or legs of the machine itself. I believe that a dishwasher as well as other appliances should last a bit longer then 5 or 6 years.

Cheap feel broke fast

Shelves cheap. Don’t stay on track well. Heater broke in three years water stopped in 7 yrs. Detergent spot gets blocked if not strategic about silverware placement. Over all always felt flimsy and cheap. Regretted from the beginning

Very durable

For the most part it is a good dishwasher. I am old school when it comes dishwashers. I always rinse before I load them. So they always come out clean. However since my son and his wife moved in. I have learned it doesn't clean dishes very well when they let drink glasses set up for a few days or dried on food.
I would recommend this to a friend!
