Quiet!

Very quiet and washes well. Only complaint I have is that the dark colors of the inside is hard to see things sometimes. Also noticed that the top rack utensil holder does not always get the utensils clean, so try to stick with the bottom one.

Love the slate finish

I purchased my dishwasher over the summer since I was updating all my appliances. I replaced this from a GE Profile (which I gave to my daughter and she loves it). Plus: color is great and was the primary reason for replacing; love the extra silverware baskets along with the lids to separate them ; ease of loading; cleans dishes well. Minus: the detergent dispenser is too low and you cannot put any silverware in front of it; it is louder than my previous GE Profile; the silverware baskets come loose too easily.

Doesn't clean as well as my "lower quality" last dishwasher. The racks aren't set up well and I have to wash fewer dishes at a time - so I run the machine more frequently.

First week it wouldn't suspense the detergent, so had to get repairman out. Now it works most times, not sometimes. It doesn't clean real good and has no rinse cycle. Steam is worthless. The HORRIBLE lower rack is a bad design, my dishes flop around and serving pieces won't fit into slots

placement of silverware baskets

The silverware baskets prevent the soap dispencer from opening. The first time I used the dishwasher, I used the soap packet that came with it and when the dishwasher was done the packet was still in the dispenser unused. I use liquid soap now and place the basket in the bottom rack.

Very unhappy with this hybrid Dishwasher. Even using the heat dry option utensils and glasses are dripping wet! The placement of the utility basket is terrible also. I like the color but had I known what I now know about this machine I would have purchased a different model or brand.

Love This Dishwasher, But It Takes FOREVER!!!

My husband and I decided a few months ago to redo our kitchen. After doing lots of research, we decided on replacing all of our appliances with GE. Then we saw the slate finish and we ordered it. Well, it has been two weeks and I have to say that I LOVE how the slate looks! We have a toddler and so far I have not had to clean any finger prints off of any of our slate appliances. I love how quiet this dishwasher is and how well it cleans. I have never had a dishwasher that has cleaned this well before and makes no noise at all. I keep wondering if I hit the start button sometimes because it is that quiet. I love the silverware baskets on the front, and how much I can fit into this dishwasher. My ONLY COMPLAINT about this dishwasher is that it takes waaaaayyyy longer than my last one. This dishwasher takes between 2 1/2 hours - 4 hours depending on what setting you use. I have tried ALL of the setting combinations and this is my result. I have tried it on the lowest setting without the steam pre-rinse and the post sanitation cycles and it still takes a couple of hours. It is very frustrating to me and completely ruins everything. I love how clean, dry, and spot free my dishes come out every time. It really is a great dishwasher for a great price! Made well, love the features, quiet, cleans wonderfully, fits a lot, looks beautiful and TAKES HOURS to clean!!!
