Our old dishwasher finally gave out after 20 plus years! We decided on the GE and we are pleased with its features, most of all the interior space and adjustable top rack.It also has more utensil racks on both top and bottom racks. The push button feature that lets you cancel a cycle is convenient. We are pleased overall with this product.

Great Features, But

Bought this GE, along with the install kit, as a replacement. So it should have been easy. I knew to save the old wire. The new water and drain lines were plenty long enough, however the rubber fitting to the sink drain, while adjustable from 1" down to 5/8", the clamp provided does not get small enough to tighten onto a 5/8" tee. But the bigger issue is the leveling/stabilizing brackets. With a granite countertop, the brackets must be side mounted. In this situation the brackets are 2.75" inboard from the front of the machine. Hence, instead of fastening to the hardwood cabinet front the screws go into and through the soft, thin, particle board side panel. And in my case, on the right side a 3/32" fiberboard that wraps a Lazy Susan. I have had to reinforce the fiberboard, in hopes that it will keep the machine from moving every time the door is opened/closed. Not to mention, the side mounted brackets, require a blind access, to find the screw hole in the bracket, and the screws provided are too short to reach the cabinet side panel (which is offset 3/8" from the side of the cabinet front panel).
This is a design error in so many ways. Only time will tell whether my cabinet modifications will be effective. Note that this is my fifth dishwasher self-installation. The basics were done in just over an hour, but I spent 2.5 hours addressing the bracket issue. Hiring the professional installers would not have changed the facts. This dishwasher (with kit) cannot be properly installed (stabilized), if you have a hard countertop. The side mounted brackets cannot be firmly fastened to the side panels of base cabinets.
Another minor issue is that white close out trim strips were supplied with a bisque dishwasher, and then they only extend to the bottom of the tub, leaving dark gaps on the bottom six inches of the machine.

We bought because of bisc color and quality of product and price. Mainly due to color to match our other kitchen appliances. Very good neutral color for kitchen appliances.

Pretty Good Dishwasher

Owned for 6 years and working good. We learned to stack dishes without blocking the utensil baskets in the front of top and bottom racks. Biggest complain is the door will not seat in lock position. We constantly rearrange silverware to get it to run a cycle.

Quiet and energy efficient

We recently purchased this washer because of the stainless steel tub and biscuit color. The most amazing thing about this washer is the quietness of it. It is difficult to hear even when standing next to it. The other benefit of the unit is it's very low energy consumption, half of other units that I've seen. Of course, all of this means nothing if the dishes don't get clean. After trying the different cycles, we've determine that "Automatic" with heat boost mode seems to be the best. Dish's, glasses, pans all come out very clean. Also, the controls are easy to read and use. Top rack is easily adjustable and rack design is working very well for loading the dirty dishes. I can't attest to the longevity of the washer, but so far we are very pleased with the unit.
