Good and bad!

I researched before I bought this. Had great reviews. (But there's pros & cons) I've only had 2 weeks, and only used normal/heated dry cycle. PROS: very quiet, ss interior, top wash arm, end of cycle/door open alarms, color choices, top rack adjusts up/down 2 in.( it'd be nice to move each side independently), seems to wash/dry well. CONS: The 2nd silverware tray is of a less need for us as would be the extra dish space lost to accommodate it (no benefit by removing it as it is mounted on outside of rack), lower rack has less/poorer arrangement to accommodate multiple small dishes or large jelly roll pans - i.e. smaller loads, extra rubber side molding makes for difficult installation/service - very tight fit (unsure of need, possibly for the noise control), both cycles seem to be long (but may result in better performance), and most problematical is the door latching/staying closed issue which hopefully can be resolved with new latch and hinges forth coming from warranty. (That is how I know the door alarm works and suspends the cycle)! With a family of 8 we need a good washer! That being said, I hope to have a better recommendation and more thorough update in the future.

Worst dishwasher I have ever owned

I pre-rinse everything. I wash on the heavy cycle using temperature boost. I use Cascade complete gel (the packet won't dissolve). I have moved the silverware baskets from the front to the sides and load according to recommendations. I use no other water when the machine is running. Nothing feels clean. I wish I had had my old dishwasher fixed instead of buying a new one.

Dishes, silverware, and glasses come out sparkling clean. You can't even hear it when it's running. This is a great dishwasher!

Best Bisque
on January 9, 2014

It gets the dishes clean, it's bisque, it's quiet, it's bisque, little or no bending doing utensils & it's bisque. You may have to get used to a new dish arrangement, how easily the racks slide out, using heat dry and lining up the utility baskets when placing them back. Don't forget to check out the reviews for the other colors of this product.

Great dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher a week ago to replace my GE that was 13 years old. Our 'handyman' installed it. It has new features on it that I am learning to use. So far, so good! Like the quietness of it, and cleaning the dishes well. It seems to hold a lot more dishes than my old one. The silverware compartments are great. My only thing to really get used to is that the door is longer than the old one and when open makes it a little further to the floor to stoop to shut the door.

Quiet, but a very, very poor design
on April 22, 2014

It's quiet (variable speed motor), but the bottom silverware rack blocks water from getting to the detergent cup, which means it never fully empties. That leaves a mess in the dishwasher after the cycle and a whole dishwasher full of rinsed (but not washed) dishes. Took out the bottom silverware rack and just use the top one, and it works fine. Seems like GE would know better than this. Wouldn't recommend this model.

Cleans our dishes more thoroughly than our previous dishwashers, it is much much quieter and they are dried more than in the past.
