Utensil holders

The utensil holders are made of plastic holders which are too flexible. The washing cycle time is way, way too long and ridiculous. I had a medical issue so was unable to check everything out; OR, I would have returned this product, which was close to a top of the line is price

I have been extremely happy with this dishwasher. A real bonus is the quiet running and the stainless interior, which is the first for me to own. I always have clean and spotless dishes, which is what we all want

About 6 months old, it sucks. Dishes come out dirty all the time unless completely washed before.

Quiet

I've had this dishwasher for about 3 months now and I LOVE how quiet it is!! I only use it about once a week - since there's only me there's not enough dishes to run it more often. I've noticed that every so often the upper rack (glasses) seems to not be rinsed well. There is a haze and the insides of the glasses feel dirty. I've got the water temp turned up and I use Cascade liquid. It doesn't happen every time so I've not pinpointed what the problem could be. Overall I love the dishwasher! It's soooo quiet!

Super clean dishes, but way too long and too wet!

My original dishwasher finally died, so I had to replace it. I only had a few qualifications: I wanted an outside almond color to coordinate with existing appliances, needed a dishwasher with a sani-temp feature (We wash our pets's dishes, too.), and a reasonable running time. This was one of the only ones I could get in the color I wanted. The run times were not available, either online, through Consumer Reports, or in the store. We spent over an hour in the store looking. I had no idea that the run times would be this ridiculously long! (And apparently, GE is not the only one; I'm told "that's the way they're making them now"!) In order to get anywhere close to achieving a sanitary temp and close to dry (regardless of which option selected, Jet Dry used, and even bumping up the water temp on the water heater to 150 degrees), the cycle runs over 4 hours from start to finish--and the sani-temp light still doesn't come all the way on, nor are the dishes dry after all that time!!! And there is also no cycle tracker to let you know at what point (in the 4 hour process) the machine is, so that you can know if it's safe to add dishes mid-cycle. So, you have a machine running and still dishes in the sink--for hours on end. The designers truly need to remedy this situation--how can this be "energy efficient" as touted? It may use less water, but it seems that cycles this long would use far more energy than shorter, more intense cycles. No mistake about it--the dishes come out looking very clean, even lasagna and similar foods that previously took more prep to get clean. And I will say that the inside design is good, as far as how much you can fit into it. But I hope the other problems will be solved before I have to buy my next dishwasher.+

This GE performs Well

After 14 year of owing another brand my dishwasher died. After on-line research AND VIEWING MY local box stores (we have 2 local box stores), this unit was the only one in stock in my price range AND it was in stock. This GE unit is quiet, does the cleaning very well, BUT once in a while it seems the dishwashing pod that we put in was NOT fully expelled. One in a blue moon it leaves the dishes and utencils clean, but pieces of the pod has remains on the door. Wish the dish racks were white in color rather than black. Either way - my conclusion is on a level of 1 to 10 = 9. :) no unit in the price range will get a 10, besides if it was a 10, why buy another brand? :) YES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS UNIT !!! for the price range. FURTHER, because we enjoy it Dishwasher, we recently bought a GE clothes washer

We needed a side mount dishwasher since we changed to quartz countertops. We have had GE products in the past and we wanted to continue to have all GE appliances in the kitchen. We also wanted to maintain the same color scheme. We were disappointed that this color is being phased out apparently since it was very hard to find a dishwasher in the particular color. We are very happy with the dishwasher with one exception (which is the reason for a good rather than excellent rating)- there is no rinse and hold cycle on this machine. There are only two of us so it takes a while to fill the machine with dirty dishes. With a few exceptions - mainly silverware, everything has come out clean but I am using the heaviest cleaning cycle to make sure they do. It seems like I am running this one more than I have had to in the past due to the configuration (it doesn't seem to hold as many dishes as my old machine). I do like the silverware baskets where I can separate each piece so they aren't rubbing against and scratching each other. I think that also helps in getting each of them clean. I love the stainless interior.
