This is our third dishwasher--our first GE. The first couple of times we used it, we actually walked over to it and had to listen if it was working. We are pleased with the way it washes our dishes. Wonderful to be able to carry on a conversation or watch TV with it washing!!!

I've only had the dishwasher for about a month now but I love the features. There is lots of space inside and the silverware racks are great.

Doing a Great Job

Washes very good and VERY quiet. We discovered it washes best if we make sure our hot water is up to temp at the sink before we push "Start", otherwise the soap packets don't dissolve properly. Cycle time is long if "Heat Dry" is used but we wash mainly at night so that is not a problem. The dishwasher has a lot of capacity plus two silverware baskets. We are happy with our purchase.

Poor design

This has to be the worst design for closing a dishwasher. The latch seldom catches. Is it the utensil baskets in front of the upper and lower racks? Even if they are reloaded or removed the latch won't always catch. Very frustrating. I called GE and was told that the "V" at the top may need adjusting from time to time.....Using a phillips head screwdriver a minor turn does correct the problem once or twice then it's back to the same old nonsense. Just ridiculous for a frequently used appliance. I will be purchasing another brand even though this should have several years to go.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This mid range priced dishwasher has many features of a high priced dishwasher. Adjustable upper rack, removable filter, 2 silverware baskets, silverware spray and a stainless interior. I've only had it 2 days, but so far, so good. It is very quiet.

A GE User for 40 years

I've been buying GE appliances exclusively for over 40 years and see no reason to change a good thing now! This is my third GE dishwasher and I am wowed by the stainless steel interior and the fact that I can still get it in bisque to match the rest of the appliances I bought 7 years ago. My newly updated kitchen is beautiful.

Out of all the Dishwashers we have owned this is the most efficient...it cleans well with no spotting! A real plus as far as I am concerned...
