It does the job well. I moved the silverware rack off the door to inside the dishwasher to get better cleaning. No problems

Nice unit, you don't even hear it running! Installation was tight and had to leave the insulation out ,still quiet as could be!

Disappointing dishwaster

This dishwasher does not dry the dishes - even when using the special drying buttons. It is also very loud. I have been told that's just the way they are made. It takes a LONG time to wash a load but I think that is due to the Energy Efficiency built in to the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It doesn't do a very good job of drying the dishes. You have to basically air dry the dishes afterwards by leaving the door open. If I wanted energy efficiency I would wash and dry the dishes by hand. I want a dishwasher that washes, rinses and dries. But this doesn't do that. I used to be able to turn the knob on our old dishwasher and set it to dry again if the dishes weren't dry . On this machine you have no control what-so-ever. It also takes 4 hours to wash the dishes. I wouldn't call that energy efficient. Also, it take me 5 minutes to put rinse aid in this little tiny whole. It keeps bubbling over and I have to wait for the bubble to go away before I can add more. Next, the silverware rack. First, we took the top part off so that we could put more than 20 pieces of silverware in. Then we had to move the rack to another location because it was blocking the soap dispenser and the soap wasn't getting out to wash the dishes. I will NEVER buy another GE appliance because of this.

GE Dishwasher Review

We purchased a GE dishwasher in May 2014. The dishwasher seemed to work for the first several months, but now it is broke. The soap and rinse dispenser do not work. That means the dishwasher does not work at all. Hopefully GE will fix it.

Dishes often come out still dirty, I wish it did a better job of consistently cleaning. I have to use the highest setting for dishes that aren't super dirty.
