Works well...have had some issues with closing / latching the front door....pullout trays seem to get in the way occasionally...
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have held out on getting a dishwasher for a while. We found this model in a store that was closing its appliance section, and we took it. I am very happy with how clean everything comes out. Glassware is spotless, and everything is shiny and clean.

I love my new dishwasher the only concern I have is the placement of the utensil baskets. They don't get as clean as they should.

Customized Dishwashing

This GE dishwasher was installed professionally two months ago. In the first week, the baskets of flatware came out drenching wet, some glasses and cups weren't clean, and plates had dried-on food particles. Suggestions from users online helped solve these problems. 1) Use the "Heated Dry" setting and open the door to cool, if necessary, before unloading dishes. 2) Don't block the soap and rinse-aid dispensers, but leave an empty space in front of the bottom flatware basket and the lower rack. 3) After loading, gently tap each water spray arm. If an arm won't spin, adjust glasses, dishes, or utensils. Our large dinner plates blocked the spray arm, so instead of facing right as shown in the operating instructions I face them left and the spray arm freely spins. 4) Run the garbage disposal before turning on the dishwasher because food debris can back up into it during the pump cycle. 5) Use the "Boost" setting for hottest water or run hot water from the faucet before starting.
The top rack doesn't accommodate our glasses, cups, and bowls. Tines are too high and widely spaced while the wine glass stem holders are too narrow. Customized placement is necessary. Because it has only about 2/3 capacity of the old one, it takes less time to load and unload, but must be run more frequently in our 2-person household. It runs quietly enough for us to enjoy TV in the next room. The first time I used it, I chose AutoSense. Water flow started and stopped, started and stopped, and the cycle took three hours. This was annoying. Now I select the cycle based on need for Light (hot water "Boost" not an option with this), Normal or Heavy. I rinse everything before loading the dishwasher, although that's not said to be necessary. We do have sparkling dishes most of the time.

Little to NO noise from this machine

Bought a Display model. Glad I did. Very quiet machine. My kitchen air filter unit makes more noise than this does. Cleans great. Love the musical features telling you door engaged and cycle finished. I use it with the Sani clean and no dry feature and dishes come out just great. The dry cycle is TOO hot!!!! silverware unable to handle right after cycle. My 12 year old GE Nautilus DW got wrecked with masking tape inside the unit when I kept using tape to mark freezer containers and forgot to remove before washing. I figured if GE could withstand my prior abuse to their dishwasher just think how great a new unit will be. Love the chopsticks holder!!!!!! I trust GE's appliances to last for years.
I would recommend this to a friend!
