Nice Affordable Razor

I have no real complaints with this razor It is a very affordable product that does the job intended. I'd love to upgrade to a 5000 series sometime as I have used my uncles and love the speed and comfort with which it operates. I have been dropping hints to such for an upcoming birthday...
It's a razor! All razors are over priced. This was the best bang for the bucks.
Pros: it's black?
Cons: it's black!

Great Shaver!

I received this shaver as a free sample, and I'm so happy that I did. This shaver is fantastic. It cuts closer than other more expensive models I have used in the past without needing multiple passes. It is powerful yet quiet and doesn’t get hair everywhere. The shaver holds its charge so I only had to charge it about once every two weeks. It works well on my neck and my head without tugging (which has been a problem for me in the past#. Cleaning this shaver is a snap as well as the heads pop open and you can run the unit under hot water. The pop-up trimmer isn’t that great as it tends to scratch me a little but other than that it works well.
PROS Very quiet #no complaints from my wife like with other machines) It is a decent size, not too big The battery indicator works well Easy to clean Very close shave

I bought this a replacement for the same model shaver. The previous design had the shaver sitting in a stand to charge...the new one does not...a simple plug in cord, and they changed the plug in configuration so that it doesn't fit the previous stand. Absolutely stupid! No stand and you can't use the previous stand. It has to lie on a counter to charge. Stupid.
Cons: no stand for charging

Good entry-level shaver

I really like this shaver—it`s light, quiet, charges quickly, and cleans easily. However, I find that I`m unable to use it for a complete shave. I still require my existing electric shaver in order to trim around my goatee.
The Shaver 3100 cuts through stubble quick, and with fewer passes than my old shaver. After using it daily for about 2 weeks, I then went 5-days without shaving to see how it would handle long, dense growth. Unlike my existing shaver from a high-priced competitor, the Shaver 3100 was able to give me a close shave without having to trim it first. Unfortunately, I got a little too close to my goatee and it cut a large swath out. Since then, I use the 3100 for the majority of the shave, and use my old shaver to clean up around my goatee.
I`ve found that it works best and leads to less skin irritation when a little bit of shave gel is used. If it weren`t for these minor issues, I`d likely give this a 5-star review.

Pros: fast shave, light, quiet, fast charging, easy to clean, cuts long growth
Cons: easy to cut growth that is meant to be kept

Charging issues

I had the older model of this shaver for many years. Once it seemed it was in need of replacing the heads I found I could buy a brand new shaver for not much more than the cost of the heads. Here it is 5 months after warranty expiration and the battery will not charge. I've cleaned the contacts, tried everything recommended to no avail. Of course the battery is NOT replaceable. Not the same quality as before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
