This shaver is a great value. It gives a close, comfortable shave. My only small criticism is the lack of a light indicating remaining usable charge. I assume this short coming allows the shaver to be sold at a bargain price.

I replaced a 12 year old electric razor with this one and I have to say, after using this for a month, I won't go back to a blade. Shaves close and holds a charge all week. Love the fact that I can rinse it out and not worry about damaging it.
Pros: great design holds charge
Cons: i wish it had a chrging base instead of a cable

I'm ditching my hand razor!

I received a free sample of the shaver to review and was impressed! I stopped using electric/battery shavers a few years ago because they did not provide a close enough shave. I have soft skin and thick hair, and would either end up with stubble or cuts right after shaving. Replacing my hand razor for a few shaves with the Philips Norelco Shaver 3100 has got me convinced to ditch my hand razor. after shaving, my skin feels moisturized and soft, just like my baby`s! Trust me guys, your significant others will also appreciate how smooth and clean-shaven you`ll look after using this razor. The only criticism I have is the battery life; after charging for about 8 hours, you get 40-45 minutes of use.
