I have owned norelco shavers for years. This one is the best. My son-in-law purchased an electric razor (different brand) and is ready to send it back as he is not satisfied.

This shaver is my husbands 3rd in 1 year (we thought we might just didn’t take good care it) it said it’s water proof washing so this last ones my husbands won’t even turn on, and after 30 minutes, it would stay on and won’t turn off. So I decided to dissect the whole shaver, what did I find? The so called “water proof” got water all the way into the battery where it corroded the battery and had a very stinky smell....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't get a close shave with this razor.

I have been a loyal Norelco razor user for 45 years, but this razor is the worst. I like the design and features, but can not get anything near to a close shave. I've read all the comments about how you have to let your face adjust to the new razor, but after all that a close shave is impossible. All my previous Norelco razors gave a very close shave, I guess this model is just a dud.

I have shaved many times with this razor and have never received a clean shave. I keep going over and over and still a bad shave.

We’re sorry for the disappointment you’ve had with our Philips shaver. Your first shaves may not give you the result you expect and your skin may even become slightly irritated. This is not uncommon since your skin and beard need time to adapt to any new shaving system. It is recommended to take into account an adaptation period of 3 weeks, during which you should shave regularly (at least 3 times per week) to allow your hair and skin to adapt to the new shaver. For better results we would request you to follow the steps given below:
• Move the shaving heads over the skin, making both straight and circular movements.
• To prevent damage, put the protection cap on the shaver after use.
During this period, use your new electric shaver exclusively and do not alternate shaving methods; alternating shaving methods makes it more difficult to adapt to the new shaving system.

Best first electric razor

Never owned an electric razor before and I must say this is a great first buy. For somebody with sensitive skin I always hated shaving but this product definitely delivered. I got the close shave I was looking for and no razor burn or irritation. To top it off the ease of cleaning this product is superb. Looking forward to upgrading to a higher model after this one gets old which might be a LONG time. Awesome design and easy to handle.

Cons: cord gets messy

I bought a new razor because the cost of replacement blades for my old one was prohibitive. The new one does not fit my hand as well and does not shave as well...enough said?
